While the CDE is a rigorous academic program, we strongly encourage students to get involved with activities on the Williams College campus and the larger Williamstown community. Williamstown is a town in Berkshire County, situated in the northwest corner of Massachusetts. Close by are the well-known museums of The Sterling & Francine Clark Art Institute and the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA). Outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and snowboarding are popular. Williams College also hosts a number of clubs and groups for students to connect around interests in sports, arts, dance, religion, and much more.
